Steve and I first attended and joined Grace in 1976. We wanted a religious upbringing for our future children. Over the years we have remained at Grace, loving our church family, enjoying the fact that our church has had a consistent liturgy but an evolving openness and embracing attitude towards all mankind.
Although new to the Episcopal Church and to Grace I was welcomed by everyone. This parish makes one feel right at home.
The moment I walked through the door of Grace, I knew I was home. The people have welcomed me and all of my extended family and invited us to be a part of the ministry of the church. It’s an awesome place to belong.
It is a pleasure and an honor to serve Grace Church as a member of the Vestry. Our work during 2017 will be particularly exciting as we select a Search Committee and begin the process of calling a new rector for our parish. Enthusiasm and confidence are high as we approach this task with expert guidance from the Diocese and full support from Mother Peg.
Serving on Vestry and Parish Life is my way of “giving back” and being thankful for all my blessings.
A few years ago, shortly after I began attending services at Grace Church, I was asked if I would be interested in serving on the Vestry.. I agreed.and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. This ministry has been a sheer joy and being able to serve during this exciting transition time in the life of Grace Church is a true blessing.
Having been a member of Grace Church during my childhood, I was more than thrilled to return to Grace when my husband and I returned to my hometown of Sterling. It has been rewarding to see how the parish has taken such good care of Grace and how the parish is so involved in the life of the community.
I joined Grace in 2015. I enjoy being part of this church family. I am always happy to serve. I look for to all the exciting changes happening in 2017.
