Services Suspended in Response to the Coronavirus
Holy and gracious God, look with mercy on your people as we struggle to cope with the threat of this new virus.Heal those who are infected, protect those who are exposed, and guard those who care for them. Give us wisdom and courage as we live through these days. In the holy name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Our church follows the seasons of the year (as well as the Lectionary which sets out the readings for each Sunday. The Sundays after Pentecost make up the longest season of the year. Those Sundays are referred to as "ordinary time." But the messages are anything but ordinary. Some of the best pieces of scripture are found in this season!
As you can see, the seasonal color is green, which gives the priest and the altar guild a chance to bring out our lovely Celtic vestments.
A Blessing for the Church!
Grace is so fortunate to have called a fantastic priest! In addition all that Mother Lori brings to us, she is also married to a talented, generous, retired priest, Fr. Bill McLemore, who has years of experience in parish ministry. He is a wonderful organist and has an outstanding voice which should encourage everyone to make a more joyful noise during worship. Welcome Bill and Lori!
Time for Vacation Bible School!
Once again, Grace Church participates with our commUnity partners for the best VBS! As this photo from a previous year shows, participation is amazing.
Feel the Love
While many churches "pass the peace" during their service, few can match the love at Grace. Come see how you would fit in!
Worship in the Episcopal Church rests on scripture and the traditions of the elegant language of the Book of Common Prayer. While the worship might seem more formal than spontaneous, we reliably read scripture every time we worship together, and we follow the liturgy that has stood the test of time. Our worship is in letting the liturgy carry us along into a deeper spiritual awareness and connection with God.

Bring offerings of food the 1st Sunday of each month! Grace Episcopal Church works to distribute these offerings locally. Call the church at (815) 625-0442 with any questions!
